Connect online stores and platforms for ongoing use

Product data needs to move regularly from your ERP or PIM to an online store or platform. We develop the technical connection with agreed field mapping, transfer and error handling. Ongoing operations are agreed separately.

Typical projects

Source data

  • connect ERP or PIM to an online store or platform

Processing

  • transform product data and media
  • map categories and attributes

Review and approval

  • check required information and format rules

System handover

  • automate API or feed transfers

Feedback

  • process feedback and rejected records

Target channels

  • supply multiple target channels from one data source

What is assessed first

Fictional example

Item S-820 · Fictional target channel K-2 · Example rule 1

One item violates the agreed image requirement

01 · Affected itemCustomer · Source data and media

Item identifier
S-820
Product image
S-820.jpg · 800 × 800 pixels

02 · Check against K-2excodata · Agreed validation rule

800 < 1200 · Requirement violated

Example rule: both image dimensions at least 1200 pixels.

03 · Pre-check resultK-2 · Acceptance remains separate

S-820 · Not ready for K-2

This finding concerns S-820. It makes no claim about processing other items.

Correction and renewed validation
Finding S-820 → customer → check against K-2

The customer provides a suitable, evidenced image file for S-820. excodata checks it again against rule 1. Simply upscaling does not replace suitable image evidence. Whether and how to retransmit is agreed separately; acceptance remains unresolved.

Assess the transfer method separately

API · Request and response
Technically assess permissions, call limits and the meaning of each response.
Feed · File and import run
Assess file schema, delivery, import timing and available feedback files.
K-2 and rule 1 are fictional and do not describe a real platform. API and feed are different procedures. Partial processing, automatic retries and successful acceptance are not generally promised.

Also to clarify in advance

  • technical access options
  • target attributes and category models
  • volume and update frequency
  • data gaps and responsibility for quality
  • error and retry logic
  • testing and acceptance process

Scope boundaries

The focus is product data and technical integration. Online store design, performance marketing, campaign management and general marketplace management are not included.

FAQ

Can every platform be connected?

For your target platform, we review the API, import methods, permissions and requirements. We use this to clarify the possible connection; we cannot promise connection to every platform.

Is missing product data added?

Only by explicit agreement and with a reliable source. The integration does not invent missing facts.

Can you take over operations?

Yes, if monitoring, frequency, error handling and responsibilities are defined as a managed service.
